Bride Wedding Speech - How To Take What’s In Your Stressed Mind And Get It On Paper

By: Felicity Porter

In the middle of the million details for the big day writing a bride wedding speech is the last thing you want to deal with. It’s not really what you needed on top of it all, but still you’d like to give a speech, even just to show your gratitude for everybody’s effort to make your great day an amazing one.

So with being so busy and rushing to and fro to get every last detail taken care of, how are you supposed to get a speech done . . . With all that's going on, finding a still moment to sit down and write a bride wedding speech seems as possible as swimming across the Atlantic. Well when you get up tomorrow morning pick up a yellow pad, do some brainstorming over your morning coffee and write down every detail that comes up that you may want to weave into your speech. That is something you can do all throughout your hectic day. Whenever a thought or idea pops into your mind, stop for a second and write it down. You might be surprised how much raw material you can collect by the end of the day. The challenge now is to structure this whole clutter of thoughts and ideas into an amazing bride wedding speech?

What helped me to make sense of everything I wanted to say was to take a sheet of paper and to put down a plain structure to write my bride wedding speech:

- You could start with how happy you are this day has finally arrived,
- how you became aware of each other,
- what the first thing was about him that turned your head,
- the stuff you like best about him,
- why you want to marry him in the first place and
- how you can’t wait to share your future with him.
- Then you could also mention your parents and your in-laws,
- thank them for their help in making this day possible,
- thank them for preparing the both of you for your adult live, which you will now share.
- After that you can continue to mention and thank others on your list, just keep in mind: if you mention Aunt Lucy, you also will have to mention Aunt Meredith, which leads you to having to talk about dear Uncle John and then also Uncle Ben, and so on. You get the picture, choose carefully or you might end up spending your wedding reception trying to find the end of your own speech.
- Weave in an anecdote or two; just always keep it on the positive side.
- Close with a witty toast and . . . you’ve got yourself a structure.

Remember that first sheet with all your thoughts and ideas? Now you can select from that sheet to fill in your outline. Switch them around until they fit and got some flow. Your bride wedding speech should be about ten to fifteen minutes more or less. It's always a good idea to stay on everyone's good side when doing a bride wedding speech. You don’t want to dampen the spirit of the celebration with a statement that’ll follow you for years to come.

It may not be all the difficult to put together a warm bride wedding speech that will be cherished for many years, if you follow a basic structure.
