Do You Want Inexpensive Wedding Flowers

By:

One place a bride doesn't have to break the budget is with floral selections. Too often a bride walks in to a florist with an idea of a bloom choice that is difficult to find, expensive or out of season. With some creativity and flexibility, the availability of beautiful but inexpensive wedding flowers is something every bride should consider. If a bride's focus color was pink, it does not necessarily need to come in the form of pricey roses. Cost savvy floral options are unique and a welcomed change to the typical wedding floral arrangements and bouquets.

Certain flower types are much more cost efficient and will allow a bride to get more for her money. A few stems can become a full and elegant bouquet of blooms with the right flowers such as carnations. There are multiple varieties of carnations including standard blossoms and mini versions. These flowers come in a wide range of colors but can also be dyed to match your color pallet. Carnations can be great accents to a bouquet or arrangement, or hold their own, particularly in tight bunches that create an ornate and delicate shape out of the paper thin petals.

Daisies and More Daisies

When daisies come to mind, many brides only think white and yellow. However, the white flowers can be a great base for a bouquet tied with ribbons made of satin or tulle that matches your color pallet. Daisies also come in colored varieties, including the popular Gerber daisies. These blooms typically have larger blossoms than traditional daisies. The Gerber daisies come in assorted colors such as fuschias, oranges, bright yellows and reds as well as softer pinks. These flowers are very hearty and hold up well in bouquets and arrangements.

Sunflowers

If a bride selects blue as her wedding colors but finds herself caught trying to find specially colored blue flowers that aren't purple but don't look powder blue, sunflowers are an excellent selection for cheap wedding flowers. The giant varieties are often what we think of, however, smaller sunflower varieties can be paired beautifully with a number of colors and floral accents. Brilliant blues and deep purples are creative matches for bright yellow.

Depending on the season of a wedding celebration, other flowers can potentially be purchased at very reasonable prices such as tulips in the early spring, roses in the summer and chrysanthemums during the fall season. For weddings planned near a holiday, large quantities of festive blooms may be able to be purchased at discounted prices such as poinsettias during the Christmas holidays and lilies near Easter.
Inexpensive wedding flowers can easily look like you spent far more than you truly did. Consulting a florist with an idea of your budget and the amount of boutenirs, arrangements, centerpieces, corsages and bouquets will help to better organize your floral design. There are many creative and unique ways to use flowers throughout your wedding and reception without spending money you could be saving for more important things- like your honeymoon!
