Planning Your Wedding

By: Gary Pearson

Getting married is great, especially if you do not have to be the one to do everything. That is why the wedding planner was conceived, to take of car all the minute details regarding the wedding and save you from all the stress. But the service comes with a high price and if you give them too much independence to plan, the wedding might be your wedding planner's dream wedding instead of yours.

On the other hand, if you handle the planning yourself, you're going to need some way to keep track of everything. That's where wedding planner books can come to your rescue. A good book will outline everything you need to take care of when planning your wedding, from getting the first visions of how things should look to buying flowers to all of the final touches that may have slipped your mind.

Majority of these books will present several suggestions regarding the wedding theme. Would you prefer to have it on a beach, or celebrated with another big event such as a New Year's Day or Valentine's Day. How about the venue, would you like to have it on a garden one spring day? How about a traditional church wedding? If you have decided on the general theme, then you can commence on the step by step planning of things to do.

Most importantly, you should establish how much funds you are allotting for the wedding. The book can also help you out in this aspect. These books lay out a sheet detailing estimated costs for each item such as flowers, photographers, attires, dinner, among others. But before you can allocate anything, you should already have an idea how much you have set aside for the wedding because wedding packages can range from $1,000 to $100,000. How lavish you want your wedding to be is dependent upon you and your future partner's pocketbooks. Of course, your budget will affect the number of invited guests and the allocation of the money for each item.

As soon as the budget has been finalized, the wedding planner book will guide you through the entire procedure, from picking out the venues for the ceremony and the wedding party, the wardrobe, flowers, etc. and the coming together the various aspects of the wedding. We cannot expect the book to be as expansive as a real wedding planner, but it could give you ample guidance and hopefully you can combine it with your own creativity and passion then your dream wedding is now well on its way of coming to whopping success.
