Some Of the Best Wedding Centerpiece Ideas Are Seasonal!

By: Florence Woods

Are you someone who is looking for some great wedding centerpiece ideas? Why not use things like seasonal fruits, colors and foods to get you started!

Using edibles and flowers that are in season will save you money rather than going for expensive imported flowers. If you're stuck for ideas, just look around you for inspiration!

Winter

A Christmas wedding has all kinds of associations you can make use of including colors: red, green, white, silver and gold for instance.

You'll find that using holly and ivy for a backdrop and then using red and white flowers to offset them can work beautifully. Use metallic gold and silver ribbons can add some lovely accents to the whole.

There are many different possibilities open when designing for the winter months.

Fall

When the vegetables and fruits start ripening, fall explodes into amazing red, orange and yellow!

Instead of flowers, think about the fact that fall represents the harvest. Gourds, pomegranates and sheaves of wheat can help you adorn the table and you may even find that using pumpkin vases can be something that appeals to you.

We also used black sparkling candles which looked stunning as the light faded and made the colors of the fruit and vegetables stand out even more.

Black can also be a way to make the colors of the fruits and grains that you have chosen stand out, so consider some hints of black grass.

The wedding centerpieces fitted in perfectly with color scheme and bridesmaids flowers which were a mixtures of oranges and reds.

Putting in the effort to match the season can make a huge difference, so consider what your wedding centerpiece might look like.

Summer

Summer is a very popular time for weddings and you will find that the flowers that you want are going to be in full bloom and less expensive than they are during other times of year.

Check out sunflowers, irises and roses just for as start and see why they are so popular.

A more, gentle, meadowy feel could be created by using cornflowers and daisies as well as grasses. These flowers can be included in the dresses and head dresses worn by the bridesmaids and even the bride!

Consider how summer fruits can add a beautiful splash of color to your wedding centerpiece. Think about the green of honeydew, the yellow of mangoes and the red of apples. They look and smell delicious and you'll find they're going to be good for your guests to eat too!

Seasonal wedding centerpiece ideas can complement any theme you choose with a bit of imagination. You can make life easier and cheaper for yourself by making the most of the seasonal products around you.
