Choosing a wedding hairstyle is one of the most passionate discussions preceding the event. Updo or downdo? Selecting and making the correct choice of hairstyle to use for the once in a lifetime event is not always easy, and at times, even downright difficult!

With many thoughts and choices for the event - like the dresses, hairstyles, cakes and wedding locations etc...- to be focused upon, most brides put in lots of effort to create a wedding that follows a unique and cohesive theme in order to impress the participants. And this means that you need to get the hair, the dress, and the other accessories all work together to create a "beautiful you" for the most memorable day in your life!

Here are some tips and advice for choosing the wedding hairstyles.

1. The Stylist: Several options exist for the wedding hairstyles. You need to first find a reputed hairstylist and discuss with them the wedding hairstyles you've seen and liked, and as well ask them to suggest a few. Your hairstylist should be able to explain what might work best for you, and as well update you on the trendy hairstyles currently in vogue.

2. Practice: Practice hairstyle sessions as your wedding day draws near. You'll thus get a chance to try out a couple of updo and other options. You need to test your hairstyle with your veil - ensure that you are able to wear it for a whole day as that needs to last through the ceremony and reception.

3. Updos: You get to see a variety of choices in the bridal and hairstyle magazines, not counting what you get to see in the fashion show photographs. The hairstyle you choose should reflect your taste and the wedding style, and it need not be a traditional wedding updo if those don't suit you.

For those brides with short hair, there is no need to worry about paying for the extensions - just maintain your real look and go for adding a tiara or a beautiful veil to give your hair a different look without being over the top for the wedding.

5. Downdos: Do you have long hair, but don't prefer wearing an updo? You can then opt for the big volume, large barrel curls that can look very natural. A good hair stylist can do this with a large barrel curling iron or heated rollers, while taking care to ensure that the curls and volume are maintained throughout the day.
